Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts
Salary: £49,000 Basic
Location: Staines-upon-Thames

About the Company:

My client, a large Fleet company operating nationwide, is looking for a dedicated HGV Technician to join their team.

Duties of the HGV Technician:
As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Routine Servicing and Repairs: Perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections, and subsequent repairs on Distribution Tractors, Ro-Ro Tractors, and other sea port equipment
Visual and Operational Checks: Conduct checks to locate worn, dirty, or maladjusted parts
Technical Inspections: Utilize technical manuals and diagnostic techniques to find and repair inoperable or defective machine parts, components, or systems using a range of test equipment
Accident Damage Inspections: Undertake thorough inspections of accident-damaged machines and produce accurate reports to facilitate repair processes
Mobile Technician Duties: Be prepared to work away from home on customer vehicles, with or without workshop facilities being available for use

Experience and Skills Required:
To be successful in this role, you should have:

HGV Experience: Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles
Technical Expertise: Any previous HGV technician experience will be beneficial
Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence and class 2 licence
Qualifications: NVQ Level 2/3 in HGV Maintenance and Repair (Preferred)
