Location: Penarth
Salary: £36,400 – £39,520 DOE
Shift: Monday – Friday (7.30am – 4pm) 40 hours
Holiday: 20 days + Bank Holidays

My client, a respected specialist manufacturer of industrial and commercial door solutions, is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator. The company is offering supply, installation, maintenance, and repair services across a wide range of sectors. Known for delivering high-quality, compliant, and reliable door systems, the business supports clients with tailored solutions including roller shutters, steel hinged doors, fire curtains, sectional doors, high-speed doors, fire/security rated doors, and ongoing service contracts.

As the Welder Fabricator you will be responsible for:
The fabrication and welding of industrial door systems, steel structures, and bespoke metalwork within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role working alongside an experienced team producing high-quality products to strict standards
MIG, MMA and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
Fabrication of industrial doors, roller shutters, steel doors, frames, and structural components
Working with sheet metal fabrication
Operating large fabrication machinery and workshop equipment
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication specifications
Cutting, drilling, grinding, and preparing materials for fabrication
Assembly and fitting of fabricated components
Working with structural steelwork and general fabrication projects
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within project deadlines
Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment in line with health & safety regulations
Supporting installation teams where required

The successful Welder Fabricator will have the following experience:
Time served Welder / Fabricator
Previous experience within fabrication, manufacturing, industrial doors, or steelwork environments
Experience working with sheet metal
Ability to read and work from technical drawings
Experience operating large fabrication machinery
Strong understanding of workshop health & safety
Good attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Full UK Driving Licence
Forklift licence would be desirable
Experience within industrial doors, roller shutters, steel doors, or fire/security products
Fabrication and structural steel experience

The benefits offered to the Welder Fabricator:
£17.50ph – £19ph DOE
Monday – Friday (40hrs) 7:30am – 4:00pm
