Job role: Business Development Manager
Basic: £32,000 per year
OTE: £35,000-£40,000 per annum
A vacancy for a Business Development Manager has arisen within a multi-site Commercial Vehicle Dealership Group.
The main purpose of the Business Development Manager role is:
To develop, increase and manage the parts sales business for the region in line with company objectives, maximising sales, profits, and minimising costs.
Make initial enquiries and arranging appointments to meet with new/current/ potential customers.
Meet individual sales targets by maximising upsell and cross-sell opportunities on volume and optional extras.
Assist in ensuring a steady flow of enquiries from multiple channels through prospecting and marketing.
Gain a specialist knowledge of manufacturer vehicles and options, participating in regular knowledge updates.
Research and identify new business opportunities.
Advise on pricing and product information where necessary.
Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:
To develop existing customer relationships, win new accounts and implement marketing strategies.
To engage with key personal to review KPI’s and develop / drive processes and implement actions for future business success.
To maintain awareness of market trends in the Retail business and independent after market.
The Business Development Manager will have:
Excellent motivational, planning, and organisational skills.
Excellent PC skills.
Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness.
Ability and willingness to take ownership of any issue relating to the department.
Proven experience in Commercial Vehicle / Trailer / Tanker / Bus & Coach business environment.
Commercial awareness that supports developing profitable franchise operations, including an understanding of Dealer Standards.
