Fleet Compliance Manager opportunity
My client operates a wide fleet of commercial vehicles (circa 5500 assets consisting of HGV & LCV) that are available for contract hire, lease and rental. Due to expansion and exciting growth plans they are actively seeking to employ an experienced Fleet Compliance Manager.
Reporting into the Fleet Operations Manager, the primary functions of the role are to lead to the day-to-day management of the Fleet Compliance and Scheduling team which forms part of the Customer Service Centre (CSC). The role will provide leadership and supervision of the activities to support the Vehicle Hire fleet management proposition. You will be able to manage up and down the management chain driving change and delivering innovation to support the business in providing a best-in-class fleet management service.
Fleet Compliance Manager duties
- Ensure both teams within the LCV & HGV Maintenance management programme work to pre-agreed KPI’s.
- Make sure diary is fully booked well in advance for annual testing and other legislative bookings such as PM’s
- The recall programme is continuously monitored and actioned as appropriate
- Make sure the Fleet Compliance team works with our event management colleagues to maximise uptime of vehicles
- All Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
- As a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching.
- Ensure we are achieving the most cost-effective repairs in line with our high-quality standards.
- Any maintenance failings are fully investigated and followed up internally and externally.
Fleet Compliance Manager Experience required
- You are capable of managing, supporting, and developing busy teams and experience of managing in a demanding role.
- You have a strong Customer Service delivery track record
- Experience gained in a similar Compliance manager role
- Transport and Legislation Knowledge.
- It would be beneficial if you possess a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- LCV or HGV technical experience would be a bonus
