Salary: £40,000-£50,000
Hours: Monday-Friday 8-5
Location: Cheltenham & surrounding areas
Van + Fuel Card provided
Overtime: Paid at 1.5
Holiday entitlement: 25 days + bank holidays
Job Description:
In order to apply for this position you will need to have at least 2 years minimum experience in Lifting Equipment.
Our client, who is a small, busy company based just outside Cheltenham, who has a strong reputation for providing high quality lifting equipment and services to a wide range of industrial clients across the South West.
They are rapidly expanding, they are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic engineer who is looking to grow and develop with our business.
What we are looking for in you:
- Self-motivated service engineer who takes pride in their work
- Ideally, experienced in working with overhead cranes, hoist and lifting equipment, but maintaining, repairing, and servicing equipment on an industrial environment is essential.
- Background and qualifications relevant to industrial mechanical & electrical engineering disciplines.
- An ability to use ladders, scaffolding and powered access equipment to carry out work so must be physically fit as well as comfortable and competent with work at heights.
- Good communication skills
- Good grasp of the English language (verbal and written)
- Be personable as there is regular customer contact.
- Strong Health & Safety ethic and an ability to work safely unsupervised
- Flexibility to work extra hours – this attracts paid overtime.
- Hold a current UK driving licence.
- Possession of LEEA qualification or similar preferred
- Possess IPAF license and similar trade and H&S related qualifications.
- Based on 39 hours p/w Mon-Fri. Weekends & overtime extra.
- The ideal candidate will be looking to grow and develop with the company
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation of industrial lifting equipment.
- Ensure all work tasks are carried out in a safe manner.
- Trouble- shooting equipment breakdowns, both mechanical & electrical
- Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues.
- Complete appropriate documentation through your mobile device.
