Job Title: Service Technician
Location: Chester, Cheshire
Salary: £30,000 – £39,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications) + uncapped bonus
Hours: 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:15am – 5:15pm, including two Saturday mornings per month
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
The Opportunity We’re looking for a skilled Service Technician to join a busy and well-established bodyshop in Chester. You’ll work alongside an experienced team of technicians in a settled workshop environment, focusing on warranty work for vans and light vehicles using the latest diagnostic technology.
This is an excellent chance to develop your skills with support from the management team and access to manufacturer-accredited training, including EV-specific courses to help accelerate your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle health checks with the latest technology
- Conduct vehicle servicing to manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
- Perform authorised repairs and warranty work with correct documentation
- Road test vehicles to ensure all faults are fixed
- Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and to a high standard
What You’ll Need
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
- Motor industry experience, brand or non-brand
- Full and valid UK driving licence
- Self-motivated, team player, ambitious, and keen to learn
- Previous experience with the brand is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided
- Diagnostic and MOT experience advantageous but not required
