Location: Stowmarket
Salary: £24,000 to £26,000
Hours: 40 hours per week – 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday
Your New Client
Are you a highly organised administrator with a passion for delivering outstanding support and service? My client is looking for a Office & Operations Administrator to join our busy team in Stowmarket. In this pivotal role, you’ll support the Depot Managers and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of operations across the site.
This is a fast-paced and varied position where no two days are the same, ideal for someone proactive, detail-focused, and ready to be a key part of a friendly, hard-working team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated personal assistant support to the Branch and Sales Manager
- Manage the branch switchboard and handle incoming calls in a professional manner
- Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries, both in-person and over the phone
- Deliver administrative support to various departments, ensuring smooth internal operations
- Prepare and process sales quotations, invoices, and delivery documentation
- Carry out daily cashiering duties and liaise with Head Office for financial reporting
- Maintain and update accurate sales records and CRM databases
- Assist with the coordination of trade shows, marketing events, and customer open days
- Conduct monthly stock checks on domestic items and report discrepancies
- Promote effective communication across all areas of the branch
- Consistently provide a professional, customer-focused service
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Confident communicator with a polite and professional telephone manner
- Comfortable engaging with customers, suppliers, and colleagues at all levels
- Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential information
- Highly organised and capable of juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent written and numerical accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
