Hours: Monday to Friday | 40 hours – Overtime available up to 2x
Contract: Permanent

My client, a leading UK-wide equipment hire provider, is on the lookout for a well-organised and reliable Class 1 Driver to join their new depot. Reporting to the assistant depot manager you will play a key role in the delivery of their fleet of generators to customers across the South East of England.

What you’ll be doing in your new Class 1 Driver role

To deliver generators to customer sites providing first class quality service, customers include construction, events and utilities
Setup and demonstrate equipment upon delivery, and assisting with cable management when necessary
Adhere to all healthy and safety, tachograph & vehicle safety regulations
Helping with basic yard duties when required including equipment cleaning
Supporting the team to ensure efficient operations and completing deliveries in a safe and proficient manner

The successful Class 1 Driver will have

LGV Licence – Class 1 or equivalent
Digital Tacograph Holder
ADR, CPCS and Lorry Loader Licences desired but not essential
Ability to work flexible hours including early starts and late finishes
Experience driving a variety of vehicles including lorry loaders with trailers, tractor units with flatbed trailers, fuel tankers and 4x4s
