Area Sales Executive – Groundcare Equipment
Location: Field-based (Ideally Located in Shropshire/ Staffordshire Area)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Overview We are looking for a driven and knowledgeable Area Sales Executive to promote and sell groundcare equipment to a wide range of end users across your assigned territory. You will play a vital role in developing new business, managing customer relationships, delivering demonstrations, and ensuring the highest level of post-sale support and satisfaction.
This role suits someone with strong technical sales ability, experience in the machinery or turfcare sector, and a proactive mindset to grow market share and maintain long-term customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth by promoting groundcare equipment and related services within your region
- Identify and convert new leads while maintaining and developing existing customer relationships
- Deliver equipment demonstrations, generate quotations, and provide tailored technical advice
- Manage the full sales process: from initial enquiry through to product handover and post-sale follow-up
Sales & Support Collaboration
- Support customers and service centre teams with product knowledge and aftersales opportunities
- Coordinate with internal departments on product issues, marketing campaigns, and technical updates
- Oversee product installations and operator training, with support from the training team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM, including customer interactions and inventory
Product & Demonstration Management
- Take responsibility for regional demo equipment and coordinate additional demo support as needed
- Ensure high-quality customer experience through product handovers, follow-ups, and satisfaction checks
- Promote and manage sales campaigns and finance packages
- Monitor product registrations and work with service partners to keep databases accurate
What You’ll Need
- Proven sales experience, ideally within groundcare, turfcare, or agricultural machinery
- Confident communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
- Technically minded with a strong understanding of groundcare machinery and its applications
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role
