About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and reliable IT Manager to oversee our day-to-day IT operations and provide technical support to our internal teams. This is a hands-on role where you will maintain our existing systems, assist end users, and coordinate with external IT service providers when needed.
The role is based at our HQ, with occasional travel to other offices to provide on-site support and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Set up and configure user accounts, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop and mobile devices to minimise downtime.
- Monitor system performance, escalating complex issues to external IT providers.
- Manage user permissions and access for platforms including Office 365, SharePoint, and Syrinx.
- Support backups and basic data recovery processes.
- Liaise with software vendors and IT partners for maintenance, support, and licensing.
- Troubleshoot email, internet, and connectivity issues.
- Maintain IT documentation, asset logs, and user guides.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding of staff from an IT perspective.
- Support IT-related projects as directed by senior management.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in IT support/helpdesk (1–3 years preferred).
- Experience managing an IT function (3–5 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Office 365, Windows OS, and cloud-based systems.
- Exposure to business systems such as Syrinx, Dimensions, or Power BI.
- Experience in hybrid or multi-site environments.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft) are a plus.
- Basic networking, system security, and hardware maintenance knowledge.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and liaise with external IT providers.
