Job Title: Regional Generator Engineer
Location: Newport & Surrounding Areas
Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 + Bonus + Van + Fuel Card
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Day Shifts)

Job Description My client, a leading company in the power generation sector, is looking for a qualified and experienced Generator Engineer to join their team and support operations across Newport and surrounding areas.

As a Regional Generator Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring customers have access to reliable equipment by efficiently servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of power systems. You’ll be travelling across regional depots and customer sites to inspect, diagnose, and repair faults on Stage V generators, AMF/MDU systems, and distribution and cabling equipment, while ensuring accurate and up-to-date service records.

Main Responsibilities

Routine maintenance and servicing of diesel and electric generators (all sizes)
Fault diagnosis and repairs of generators and associated power equipment
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
Maintain accurate service and inspection records
Work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations

About You We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

Proven experience in a Generator Engineer or similar role
Relevant mechanical qualification or time-served background
Strong knowledge of Stage V engines and generator systems (highly desirable)
Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Strong communication and customer service skills
Full UK driving licence (essential)
