Are you an experienced engineer looking to take the lead in a hands-on role with real impact? We’re looking for a skilled Fleet Engineer to join our team at a well-established bus and coach company based in Ardrossan.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take responsibility for the maintenance and reliability of a busy commercial fleet — all while enjoying a Monday to Friday day shift and a competitive salary of £50,000.

About the Role:
As Fleet Engineer, you’ll oversee the upkeep, safety, and legal compliance of a fleet of PSV’s working closely with workshop staff, drivers, and management. You’ll coordinate scheduled maintenance, tackle repairs, and ensure that our vehicles are safe, reliable, and road-ready every day.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee routine servicing, inspections, and repairs across the fleet
Ensure full compliance with DVSA regulations and safety standards
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out or supervise repairs
Manage workshop resources, stock levels, and parts ordering
Maintain accurate service records and compliance documentation
Support the operational team in delivering reliable, on-time services

What We’re Looking For:

Time-served engineer with experience in HGV, PCV, PSV or commercial vehicle maintenance
Recognised qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
Strong working knowledge of DVSA and vehicle compliance regulations
Hands-on approach with excellent diagnostic and repair skills
Organised, proactive, and confident working both independently and in a team
PCV licence (desirable but not essential)
