HGV Technician – Stoke

Pay: £20.99 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, Alternating Shifts + E/O Saturday
Overtime: Paid at an enhanced hourly rate

Earning Potential (OTE)
Basic (no overtime) = £43,659 per year

With 3h overtime per week = ~£48,800 OTE
With 5h overtime per week = ~£51,700 OTE

Must hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI).

Overview
We’re looking for an HGV Technician to join a main dealership in Stoke. This role offers a stable shift pattern with alternating early and late finishes, plus plenty of overtime potential to significantly boost your earnings.

You’ll be working in a modern workshop with full manufacturer support, ideal for an HGV Technician looking for long-term stability and career development.

Key Responsibilities

Routine servicing and maintenance on a range of HGV vehicles
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
Conduct safety inspections and MOT preparations
Complete all job cards and documentation accurately
Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety

What You’ll Need

Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI)
Proven experience as an HGV Technician
Good diagnostic and repair skills
Full UK driving licence

What’s On Offer

£20.99 per hour
Enhanced overtime rates
OTE up to £51,700 per year with regular overtime
Alternating shifts: Week 1: 8am-4:30pm, Week 2: 2pm-10:30pm
Every other Saturday (with day off in lieu)
Manufacturer training and development
