Location : Derby
Hours: 42.5 Hours, Monday – Friday
Your New Role
My client is looking for a reliable and proactive Delivery Driver to support their busy machinery service based near Thetford
You’ll be reporting to the depot manager, this is a hands-on role focused on the collection and delivery of machinery, parts, and customer orders, while also supporting internal teams and operations. This role includes both local deliveries and occasional long-distance runs, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, customer interaction, and working in a team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities

Collect and deliver survey equipment between customer locations and depots
Distribute parts and supplies across a defined region
Handle occasional long-distance collections or deliveries as required
Conduct vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness and readiness of delivery vehicles
Safely load and unload equipment using appropriate techniques or machinery
Coordinate delivery schedules with the Service Manager and internal teams
Ensure excellent customer service during all collections and deliveries
Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain delivery records
Follow all health and safety guidelines during transport and handling

What My Client is Looking For

Full UK driving licence (clean or minimal points preferred)
Physically fit and capable of safely handling equipment and parts
Excellent communication and time management skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible with hours, including early starts or late finishes when required
Willingness to support general yard duties as needed

Desirable (Not Essential)

Experience with trailer towing or transporting machinery
Forklift licence or transport-related certifications
Basic mechanical knowledge or familiarity with horticultural equipment
Good geographical knowledge of East & West Sussex
