Location: Bedford / Market Harborough / Stevenage (covering Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry & Oxford)
Salary: Competitive + overtime + bonus + door to door pay
Hours: 39 hours per week + overtime opportunities
Contract Type: Full-time, permanent

The Role
My client is seeking a skilled and motivated Remote Service Engineer to carry out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on a wide range of plant and construction machinery. This is a mobile role, travelling directly from home to customer sites, so you’ll need to be confident working independently and providing a first-class service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and repair plant machinery to manufacturer standards.
  • Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Complete reports and timesheets accurately via tablet or phone.
  • Order and manage parts efficiently.
  • Carry out safety inspections and ensure all work complies with regulations.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.

About You

  • Qualified in Construction Plant Maintenance (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Experience with plant machinery, diesel engines, hydraulics, electrics, and diagnostics.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Good IT literacy and attention to detail.
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to work effectively on your own.
