My client is a well-established commercial vehicle maintenance organisation actively seeking to employ an experienced Maintenance Technician / Mechanic to join their team in Southampton.

As a Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, you will be required to:
- Carry out servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance on a modern fleet of commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct pre-MOT inspections and complete any required repairs to ensure compliance.
- Repair or replace worn parts to prevent vehicle breakdowns or damage.
- Carry out test drives (where permitted and licensed) to confirm work quality and safety.
- Record all work completed accurately using internal systems and submit to the Workshop Manager or Lead Technician at the end of each shift.
- Complete jobs in full before the end of shift, or provide detailed handovers where required.
What the Successful Maintenance Technician / Mechanic Will Need:
- A recognised qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working with HGVs, LCVs, or other commercial vehicles.
- A Full UK Driving Licence – Class C or CE (formerly Class 1 or 2) desirable but not essential.
- Strong diagnostic skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
