Location: Bristol
Pay: £50,000
Hours: M-F 6am-2.30pm & 1.30pm-10pm (40 hrs)
Shift: Early & Lates
Contract: Full time permanent role

Workshop Supervisor opportunity

Join our team as a Workshop Supervisor, where you’ll combine technical know-how with team leadership to keep our fleet running safely, efficiently, and compliantly.
Workshop Supervisor Duties
This is a hybrid hands-on and supervisory role — roughly 70% on the tools, 30% managing people and performance. You’ll:
- Lead, motivate, and support technicians and apprentices.
- Allocate work, monitor KPIs, and drive productivity.
- Perform PMI’s, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on HGVs.
- Ensure DVSA, MOT, and Operator Licence compliance.
- Promote workshop safety and conduct audits and investigations.
- Liaise with operations to prioritise repairs and reduce downtime.
- Support training, development, and performance management.
Workshop Supervisor Experience Required
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop or fleet environment or an experienced HGV Technician ready to take the next step into leadership
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
- Strong hands-on HGV maintenance and diagnostics experience.
- Understanding of DVSA, MOT, and Operator Licence standards.
- Full UK Driving Licence (HGV Class 1/2 and IRTEC desirable).
