About the Company A large and well-established plant hire company in Slough is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their operational team.
This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced environment with strong career progression and long-term stability.
Role Overview You will be responsible for coordinating all daily fleet movements, planning efficient delivery and collection routes, and supporting drivers to ensure transport operations run smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and schedule routes for multiple vehicles across the region
Ensure drivers receive accurate job packs, paperwork, and delivery instructions
Support and manage driver performance and workload
Maintain compliance with UK transport regulations and Working Time Directive
Monitor live transport activity and resolve delays or operational issues
Assist with continuous improvement across the transport function

What You Need

Previous experience as a Transport Planner (plant hire, logistics, construction, or similar preferred)
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to support, coordinate, and manage drivers effectively
Transport Manager CPC is beneficial but not essential

Celi and Jamie have both been absolutely incredible to deal with. I applied via indeed and Celi sent me a text message asking when would be good to catch up. We had a catch up the next morning where we discussed the role and experiences.. my CV was sent to the client and an interview was organised by Jamie.
