Salary: Up to £39,500 DOE, with potential earnings of £60,000 including overtime
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm (40 hours per week)
Location: Cambridge Area

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Service Technician to join a growing service team. If you enjoy a variety of work, diagnosing and repairing machinery, and delivering excellent results to customers, this could be the perfect role for you.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a wide range of professional and domestic grounds care machinery. You thrive on challenges, work efficiently, and are always keen to learn new skills and develop your expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair Agricultural/ Farm machinery from multiple manufacturers.
  • Diagnose faults and provide accurate information to prepare repair quotes.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for work assignments.
  • Carry out diagnostics and repairs in the workshop and at customer sites.
  • Perform pre-delivery setup for new or used equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organised workstation and ensure correct use of tools and vehicles.
  • Participate in training and certification programs to continually develop skills.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Essential:

  • High level of mechanical competence and experience with turf or similar machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience in maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good timekeeping and communication skills.
  • Own tools and computer literacy; training on company systems provided.
  • Previous experience with commercial, agricultural, or construction machinery.

Desirable:

  • Professional qualification in grounds care or agricultural machinery maintenance.
  • Forklift license.

There was an issue, however the matter has been resolved by the Operations manager Sam and the rest of the staff, including Matt. Very happy with the results.
