Mechanical Fitter – Manchester

Pay: Up to £15.60 per hour
Hours: 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
Shift: Days (07:00-16:30 Mon-Thu, 07:00-15:30 Fri)

Earning Potential
Basic Salary: Up to £35,750 per year (based on 44-hour weeks)
Bonus opportunities available to increase your earnings.

Overview
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a new team in Trafford Park. This is a permanent days-based role with full training provided, offering stability and the chance to grow your skills in a specialist manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read engineering drawings and work from orders to install insulated panels on commercial freezer bodies.
  • Electrically terminate lighting, switches, and tail lifts.
  • Seal joints, floors, and roofs using silicone and gel coatings.
  • Cut metals, woods, and plastics using hand tools and bench equipment safely.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures.

What You’ll Need

  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter.
  • Experience using hand tools, bench saws, and measurement equipment.
  • An excellent understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Own transportation or reliable means to travel to site.

There was an issue, however the matter has been resolved by the Operations manager Sam and the rest of the staff, including Matt. Very happy with the results. Looks like there was a lack of communication between A staff memberhowever everything has been resolved. Natalie, my first contact with the company was very lovely and professional.
