Job Title: Service Engineer
Rates: £35,000 – £40,000 DOE
Location: Hereford
Benefits: Van – Fuel Card 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to support our customer sites. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety in their work, value being part of a supportive, self-reliant, and motivated team, and thrive in a family-run business environment. Our engineers feel valued and secure, enabling them to adapt to diverse tasks and embrace changes in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out servicing, breakdowns, and preventative maintenance in a cost-effective and efficient manner
  • Repair, test, and calibrate machinery
  • Provide on-site technical support to clients as required
  • Troubleshoot and fault-find mechanical issues
  • Build strong relationships with clients and deliver excellent customer service
  • Maintain company-assigned vehicle, tools, and test equipment
  • Adhere to safety procedures and company guidelines
  • Complete all service and repair documentation accurately
  • Work collaboratively with the operations team to meet schedules and commitments
  • Attend training sessions as required to maintain skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Formal qualification such as NVQ and/or City & Guilds (preferred)
  • Experience in the forklift industry, or alternatively in agricultural/plant machinery, mechanical engineering, or motor vehicles
  • Proactive and driven with excellent communication skills
  • Highly organised with strong time management abilities
  • Positive, can-do attitude and adaptable to change

There was an issue, however the matter has been resolved by the Operations manager Sam and the rest of the staff, including Matt. Very happy with the results. Looks like there was a lack of communication between A staff memberhowever everything has been resolved. Natalie, my first contact with the company was very lovely and professional.
