HGV Mechanic – Aberdeen

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum
OTE: Up to £50,000+ per year with overtime
Hours: Monday – Friday
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Overtime: Available at time and a half

Overview
We’re looking for a skilled HGV Mechanic to join a leading national vehicle dealership in Aberdeen. This is a rewarding opportunity for a qualified HGV Mechanic to grow within a forward-thinking company that values expertise, supports professional development, and offers a stable Monday–Friday schedule with strong overtime potential.

Key Responsibilities

As an HGV Mechanic, you will perform routine vehicle maintenance and repairs to VOSA standards.
Prepare and present HGVs and trailers for MOT inspection with precision and attention to detail as a professional HGV Mechanic.
Use cutting-edge diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues efficiently.
Maintain excellent housekeeping and uphold health and safety standards in the workshop.
Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately to support seamless workshop operations.

What You’ll Need

Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualification as an HGV Mechanic.
Proven experience working as an HGV Mechanic in a workshop environment.
Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
Full UK driving licence (HGV licence is advantageous).
A proactive, safety-conscious approach and strong attention to detail.

£40,000 – £45,000 per annum basic salary
OTE up to £50,000+ per year with overtime at 1.5x rate
Monday – Friday schedule – no weekend shifts
