HGV Technician – Nights (Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday)

Pay: Up to £21.30 per hour
OTE: £55,000 – £60,000+ per year
Hours: 45 hours per week (Nights: 8:00pm – 8:00am)
Shift Pattern: Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday (4 nights on, 3 nights off)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x

Earning Potential
Basic Salary: £51,000 per year
Realistic OTE: £55,000 – £60,000+ per year with available overtime

Overview
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a state-of-the-art commercial vehicle dealership on a permanent night shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician to earn a strong base salary, benefit from overtime at 1.5x, and work a compressed 4-night week with long weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• As a night shift HGV Technician, you will undertake all levels of maintenance, repairs, and major overhauls on heavy goods vehicles.
• Complete standard servicing and diagnostics, following the repair process from fault analysis to completion as a professional HGV Technician.
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer and safety standards in a busy workshop environment.
• Maintain accurate job cards and documentation, and uphold high standards of workshop organisation and safety.

What You’ll Need

• Apprentice-trained and qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician in a fleet or dealership environment.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
• Full UK driving licence (C+E / Class 1 licence is beneficial but not essential).
