About the Company A large and well-established plant hire company in Maidstone is seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join their busy operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation that invests in staff development and offers long-term career progression.
Role Overview As a Senior Transport Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating daily fleet movements, planning efficient routes, supporting drivers, and ensuring all transport activity is carried out safely, legally, and on time.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and allocate routes for multiple vehicles across Kent and surrounding areas
Ensure drivers receive the correct job packs, paperwork, and delivery instructions
Manage and support drivers, including workload and performance
Maintain full compliance with UK transport legislation and Working Time Directive
Monitor transport performance and investigate service delays or issues
Support operational improvements across the transport function

What You Need

Previous experience as a Senior Transport Planner (plant hire, construction, logistics, or similar background is a MUST)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage, support, and coordinate drivers effectively
