About the Company
We are working with a well-established plant hire and logistics business that operates a 24/7 depot supporting Heathrow Airport. Known for its strong operational standards and reliable service, the business is now looking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator – Nights to manage overnight operations.
This is a key role within the depot, offering autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to work independently while ensuring critical equipment availability for a high-profile client.
The Role
Working nights and largely on your own, you will take full responsibility for the smooth running of overnight logistics and coordination. Your duties will include:

Managing the hire inbox, responding to queries, and actioning requests efficiently
Monitoring equipment coming off hire and ensuring off-hire checks are completed accurately
Updating internal systems to reflect equipment status and availability
Coordinating collections, returns, and readiness of equipment for ongoing airport operations
Liaising with the wider depot and day-shift teams to ensure continuity of service
Identifying and escalating any issues that could impact service levels at Heathrow
Maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance procedures

What We’re Looking For

Experience within plant hire, logistics, transport coordination, or equipment hire
Proven ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident communicator, comfortable making decisions without constant supervision
IT confident, with experience managing inboxes and internal systems
Experience supporting critical or time-sensitive operations (e.g. airports, infrastructure, utilities) is advantageous
