HGV Technician

Pay: £18.00 – £20.00 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 40 hours per week + Overtime
Shift Pattern: Week 1: 07:00 – 15:30 | Week 2: 15:30 – 00:00 (Monday – Friday)

Overtime: 1.5x Rate. 1 in 2 Saturdays (07:00 – 12:00) at 1.5x | Double time on Sunday if on call
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Earning Potential (OTE)
With Overtime: £43,500 – £48,000+ OTE per year

Overview
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a professional workshop on a rotating shift pattern. This role is ideal for a skilled HGV Technician who wants a varied schedule, strong overtime earning potential, and the opportunity to work in a structured, well-equipped environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an HGV Technician, you will carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles to a high standard.
Perform diagnostics and fault-finding using modern equipment as part of your role as a professional HGV Technician.
Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and in line with workshop procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold workshop organisation and safety.

What You’ll Need

Recognised qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds) preferred.
Proven experience as an HGV Technician with strong technical and diagnostic skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts and occasional Saturdays.

What’s On Offer

£18.00 – £20.00 per hour depending on experience
OTE £40,000 – £44,500+ per year with Saturday and optional Sunday overtime
Rotating early/late shift pattern
1 in 2 Saturday mornings at 1.5x rate
Double time on Sundays if on call
Modern workshop with up-to-date equipment
Ongoing training and career progression
