Lifting Equipment Engineer – Birmingham

Location: Birmingham
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lifting Equipment Engineer to join a well-established and growing business based in Birmingham. This role is predominantly depot-based, with some site-based work as required, offering a great balance between hands-on engineering and structured working hours.

You’ll be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair and testing of a wide range of lifting equipment, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in line with current legislation.

The Role:

  • Inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of lifting equipment
  • Carrying out LOLER examinations and associated documentation
  • Fault diagnosis and repairs both in the depot and occasionally on site
  • Ensuring all work complies with health & safety standards and legislation
  • Liaising with colleagues and customers when required

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with lifting equipment
  • LEEA qualifications preferred but not essential
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
