Powered Access Engineer – Workshop Based Location: Bristol
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Company Van & Fuel Card
Hours: Monday to Friday – Days
Overtime: Paid at time and a half
On Call: 1 in 8
The Opportunity An established and well-respected powered access business is looking to recruit an experienced Powered Access / CAP Engineer to join their Bristol workshop team. This is a long-term opportunity suited to engineers looking for stability, longevity, and genuine career progression within a supportive environment.
This role is primarily workshop based, supporting the wider engineering team, with occasional site attendance when required. The business places real value on commitment and is keen to attract engineers who want to build a long-term career rather than make short-term moves.

About the Company This is a national provider of powered access machinery with a strong reputation for quality, safety, and employee retention. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their workshop engineering team in Bristol. CAP-qualified engineers are preferred, but experienced powered access engineers without CAP are still encouraged to apply.
The Role
- Routine service, maintenance, and repair of powered access equipment
- Supporting the workshop team with day-to-day engineering activities
- Carrying out PDI inspections and LOLER examinations
- Diagnosing and repairing faults to ensure equipment is fit for hire
- Occasional attendance at customer sites for breakdown support
- Accurate use of internal systems – engineers must be computer-savvy
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience working with powered access machinery
- CAP licence preferred (not essential with strong industry experience)
- IPAF licence
- NVQ qualification or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence
- A team-focused, reliable engineer seeking long-term stability
- Strong attention to detail and a professional approach to work
