Yard Operative
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 basic + overtime
Location: Tilbury
The Role
We are currently looking for a Yard Operative to join a busy and well-established hire depot in Tilbury. This is a hands-on role where you will play an important part in supporting the day-to-day running of the yard and ensuring equipment is prepared and ready for hire.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing general assistance around the yard, including loading and unloading equipment
Assisting with basic servicing, maintenance, and minor repairs of machinery
Inspecting equipment for any damage and reporting faults
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised yard environment
Supporting the wider depot team to ensure equipment is ready and available for hire

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience working within a construction, plant hire, or similar environment
Counterbalance forklift licence (essential)
Full UK driving licence
CSCS card (desirable but not essential)
A reliable and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic
