Coachbuilder – Neath, Wales

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 07:00 – 16:00 | Friday, 07:00 – 12:00 (4.5-day week)
Contract: Permanent

Earning Potential (OTE)

Hourly Rate: £15.52 – £16.05 per hour
Basic Salary: £31,474 – £32,549 per year
Overtime Rate: Paid at time-and-a-half (1.5x)
Realistic OTE: £34,000 – £36,500+ per year with overtime

Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Coachbuilder to join a well-established bodybuilding manufacturing facility in Neath, Wales. This role offers a condensed 4.5-day working week, giving you every Friday afternoon off. You’ll be responsible for building, repairing, and modifying commercial vehicle bodies, working from job cards and technical drawings in a busy workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

Build, repair, and modify commercial vehicle bodies to specification
Carry out fabrication and welding work as required
Work from job cards and interpret technical drawings
Use air and power tools including grinders, drills, and welding equipment
Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
Maintain a clean and organised workspace

What You’ll Need

Experience in vehicle bodybuilding and panelling
MIG and TIG welding experience is advantageous
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong awareness of health and safety
Ability to read and interpret instructions and specifications
Hydraulic or electrical experience would be beneficial
