Job Title: Part-Time Service Controller
Hourly Rate: £14.42PH
Job Type: Part-Time (24 hours per week)
About Us:
We are a growing plant and machinery company specialising in the supply, maintenance, and servicing of construction equipment.
The Role:
As a Service Controller, you will play a key role in coordinating service and maintenance operations for our fleet of plant machinery. You will ensure engineers are efficiently scheduled, jobs are completed on time, and customers receive excellent service.
Key Responsibilities for the Service Controller:
- Plan and schedule service and maintenance work for field engineers
- Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding service enquiries
- Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion
- Coordinate parts and equipment required for jobs
- Liaise with engineers, suppliers, and internal departments
- Handle administrative tasks related to service operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a service controller, scheduler, or similar role (ideally within plant, construction, or engineering sectors)
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or service management systems
Desirable (but not essential):
- Knowledge of plant machinery or construction equipment
- Experience working with field-based engineers
