Role: Automatic Door Engineer
Location: UK wide travel (No nights away)
Salary: £43,680 + Door to door (Power tools provided)
Shift: Monday – Friday (40 hours)
Overtime: Offered at 1.3x / 2x after 8pm – 6am / 3x Sunday’s
On Call: No rota

My client, a leading provider of high-quality aluminium and automatic door systems with strong partnerships across major manufacturers, is seeking a skilled and motivated Automatic Door Engineer. This is a permanent, field-based role offering consistent work across the UK, along with the opportunity to develop your expertise across a wide range of automatic and manual entry solutions.

As an Automatic Door Engineer you will be responsible for
Install, service and repairs automatic door systems to meet client requirements and site specifications.
Perform routine maintenance and servicing of automatic doors, ensuring all systems remain compliant with safety standards and operational excellence.
Carry out fault diagnosis, repairs and adjustments effectively and efficiently to minimise downtime for customers.
Conduct health & safety checks on door mechanisms, sensors, control systems and related components to maintain compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
Advise customers professionally on technical issues, proposed solutions, and preventative maintenance to enhance service satisfaction.
Complete accurate service reports and documentation following installations, service visits and repairs.
Maintain company vehicle, tools and stock, ensuring readiness for all assigned tasks and visits.
Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to support project delivery and uphold company standards.

The successful Automatic Door Engineer will have the following experience
Experience working with automatic doors for a minimum of 3 years
Experience with variety of operators and accessories.
A willingness to broaden your knowledge into new product areas
EN16005 trained and ADIA or ADSA qualified
Able to carry out installations, services, repairs
Full UK driving licence and CSCS

The Automatic Door Engineer will receive an excellent remuneration package which includes
Competitive salary
Door-to-door travel paid
Company van and power tools provided
Enhanced overtime rates
21 days + Bank Holidays + Birthday off and 1 extra day for each year in service (capped at 5 years)

Received a call from David Wallace with a job opportunity in my area after previously speaking with the agency about work.
