Mobile Crane Engineer
Hours: Mon–Thu: 8:00am – 4:30pm – Fri: 8:00am – 3:30pm
Salary: £18.50ph – Overtime paid at 1.5 & 2.0
OTE: £60,000
Van + fuel card
On call rota

Mobile Crane Engineer Benefits:

  • Overtime paid 1.5 and 2.0
  • On-call allowance of £100 per week (minimum 4-hour call-out paid)

About your new company:
Our client is a well-established and growing engineering business specialising in lifting equipment and crane services. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to recruit a skilled Mobile Crane Engineer to support their field service operations and maintain high standards across their fleet and customer base.

About your new Mobile Crane Engineer role:
As a Mobile Crane Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of mobile crane equipment at customer sites and depots.

  • Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on mobile cranes and associated equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and hydraulic faults efficiently
  • Complete breakdown repairs on-site to minimise downtime
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high safety and compliance standard
  • Provide professional support and communication to customers in the field

What you’ll need to succeed as a Mobile Crane Engineer:

  • Proven experience working as a Mobile Crane Engineer or on similar heavy plant or lifting equipment
  • Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based Mobile Crane Engineer role
  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Flexible approach to overtime and on-call requirements
  • Relevant engineering qualifications are beneficial but not essential
