Hours: Monday to Friday – Days
The Company
Our client is a leading nationwide hire company, specialising in plant, powered access, and tool hire. Due to growth, they are seeking a qualified and experienced Workshop Engineer to join their busy fitter team.
The Role – Workshop Engineer
As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a wide range of hire equipment to ensure it is safe, reliable, and ready for customer use.
Key Responsibilities:

Routine maintenance of diesel engines on equipment such as pumps, generators, excavators, dumpers, rollers, and telehandlers
Diagnosing and repairing faults to ensure all equipment is fit for purpose
Carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance
Completing accurate job records and reports

The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience as a Workshop Engineer or similar role
Strong knowledge of diesel engines and plant machinery
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

What’s on Offer:

Competitive salary of £30,000 – £40,000
Overtime paid at excellent rates
