Location: Normanton
Rota: 4 on 4 off | 6:00pm – 6:00am
Hourly rate: Up to £24.40 per hour

The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join a busy, modern workshop in Normanton. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable commercial vehicle dealership offering excellent facilities and a strong team environment.

As an HGV Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out a full range of maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they are safe, compliant, and back on the road quickly.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections on HGVs
Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
Perform major mechanical repairs and overhauls
Follow jobs through from fault finding to completion
Ensure all work is completed to high safety and quality standards

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, or HGV Fitter
Experience within a dealership or fleet environment
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Class 1 (C+E) licence – desirable but not essential
