The Company
My client is a leading Construction Hire company with a strong national presence. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Workshop Plant Fitter to join their established engineering team.
The Role – Workshop Plant Fitter
As a Workshop Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of plant equipment, ensuring all machinery is safe, reliable, and ready for hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine maintenance of plant equipment including excavators, dumpers, rollers, and telehandlers (up to 30 tonnes)
- Carrying out repairs to ensure all equipment is fit for hire
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
- Conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with safety standards
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience working as a Plant Fitter or Workshop Engineer
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land-Based Engineering, or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
