The Company
My client is a leading Construction Hire company with a strong national presence. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Workshop Plant Fitter to join their established engineering team.
The Role – Workshop Plant Fitter
As a Workshop Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of plant equipment, ensuring all machinery is safe, reliable, and ready for hire.
Key Responsibilities:

Routine maintenance of plant equipment including excavators, dumpers, rollers, and telehandlers (up to 30 tonnes)
Carrying out repairs to ensure all equipment is fit for hire
Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
Conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with safety standards

The Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience working as a Plant Fitter or Workshop Engineer
Strong knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land-Based Engineering, or equivalent
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
