Location: Liverpool
Salary: £38,000 – £43,000
Shifts: Rotating: 05:45 – 14:15 & 13:00 – 21:30
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Shift Supervisor to join a leading forklift manufacturer . This is a key position within the workshop, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring the efficient running of the shift.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will lead a team of engineers and battery operatives, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of shift engineers and battery operatives
• Ensure the smooth and efficient running of daily workshop operations
• Address and resolve safety concerns promptly and effectively
• Manage people-related matters including performance, attendance, and conduct
• Identify and overcome operational constraints to minimise downtime
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and compliance
• Support the Workshop Manager with continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure all work is completed to company and industry standards

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role (ideally within engineering, manufacturing, or logistics)
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
• Good understanding of health & safety practices
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
