Job Title:              Mobile HGV Technician
Shift:                     Monday – Friday days
Location: North (You must live in the North of the UK (ideally Liverpool / Manchester / Leeds) but you will be required to cover other regions across the UK so overnight stays will be required – all hotel and food costs covered upfront by company)

Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Mechanic / Mobile HGV Fitter / Mobile HGV Engineer opportunity

Due to increased business levels our specialist fleet maintenance company is looking to add an additional Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Mechanic / Mobile HGV Fitter / Mobile HGV Engineer to the team.
As a Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Mechanic / Mobile HGV Fitter / Mobile HGV Engineer you will be based from home covering predominately the North of the UK however part of the role will be to cover other regions to cover holidays, sickness and work volumes so overnight stays will be required. All hotel and food costs will be covered upfront by the employer and you will earn and extra £30 per night away from home
Industry leading product training is offered from day 1 to include 2 weeks in an office environment and 1 week shadowing with an existing Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Mechanic / Mobile HGV Fitter / Mobile HGV Engineer

Duties of the Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Mechanic / Mobile HGV Fitter / Mobile HGV Engineer

Perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections and subsequent repairs to a variety of commercial vehicles in and around the North of the UK
Perform visual or operational checks to locate worn, dirty or maladjusted parts.
Carry out technical inspections or use technical manuals and diagnostic techniques to find and repair inoperable or defective machine parts, components or systems using a small variety of test equipment.
Will be required to undertake thorough inspections of accident damaged machines and produce accurate reports to enable repair.
In this Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Mechanic / Mobile HGV Fitter / Mobile HGV Engineer you will be working on customer sites with or without workshop facilities being available for use
On call circa 1 in 6/7 weeks

Experience/skills required for the Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Mechanic / Mobile HGV Fitter / Mobile HGV Engineer

Qualifications in heavies (City & Guilds, NVQ and / or IRTEC) are preferred but time served will be considered
Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles is essential
Any previous Mobile HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Mechanic / Mobile HGV Fitter / Mobile HGV Engineer experience would be beneficial
Any experience gained working on GSE would be an advantage
Full UK valid driving licence as the role is mobile paid door to door
Be based in the North of the UK (Liverpool / Manchester / Leeds ) but prepared to work away (overnight stays) during the week across the UK
