Job Title: Welder Fabricator
Location: Thetford
Pay: £17 – £19 per hour + Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday
The Role
We are currently recruiting an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a busy and well-established workshop team. This is a hands-on role involving repair and fabrication work on HGVs, heavy equipment, and structural metalwork.
Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect HGVs, metal components, and equipment for damage, wear, and faults
• Carry out welding repairs using MIG and Stick welding techniques
• Repair cracks, breaks, rust damage, and structural defects on steel and aluminium
• Fabricate and manufacture replacement parts when required
• Maintain welding tools and equipment, ensuring safe and correct usage
• Follow all health & safety procedures and welding best practices
• Work closely with workshop supervisors, mechanics, and transport teams

The Ideal Candidate:

• Strong background in HGVs, heavy plant, or structural steel repairs
• Skilled in multiple welding techniques (MIG / Stick essential)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Good understanding of metals, fabrication methods, and repair techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team
