Engineering Manager

Kemp recruitment are partnered with a large bus operator in the North of England, who are looking to recruit an engineering manager to join their team in Harrogate.

What you’ll be doing

• Overseeing all maintenance activities for a fleet of buses, including servicing, inspections, and repairs
• Ensuring vehicles consistently meet regulatory standards and achieve high MOT pass rates
• Managing a team of engineers, body repair specialists, and electricians
• Planning shifts and organising on-call cover
• Maintaining full compliance with operator licensing requirements
• Monitoring engineering budgets
• Promoting and enforcing health, safety, and workshop standards

What we need from you

• A Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent, such as City & Guilds qualifications)
• A flexible approach to working hours
• A full driving licence
• Previous experience working with buses or coaches (desirable)
• The ability to obtain (or already hold) a PCV licence
