Plant Technician (Mobile Role) – Birmingham, South Wales & London Areas

Pay: £22.00 per hour
OTE: Up to £55,000 per year
Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 15:30 (flexibility available)
Contract: Permanent

Earning Potential (OTE)

  • Hourly Rate: £22.00 per hour
  • Overtime Rate: Paid at time-and-a-half (1.5x) – £33.00 per hour
  • Realistic OTE: Up to £55,000+ per year

Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Plant Technician to join our mobile team, covering Birmingham, South Wales, and London areas. You’ll be responsible for keeping customers’ plant machinery fully maintained and compliant to maximise uptime. This mobile role offers great variety, a competitive hourly rate, and excellent overtime opportunities. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform major and minor repairs to plant machinery
  • Carry out PDI works and attachment set up on plant machinery
  • Mobile repair and maintenance of plant machinery across regions
  • Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance according to schedules
  • Maintain service vehicle inventory and cleanliness
  • Work with sales and other departments to ensure quality service
  • Complete documentation and warranty claims as required
  • Provide in-house training to recruits and trainees
  • Uphold quality, compliance, and health & safety at all times

What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI) in Plant Machinery Repair and Maintenance
  • Ability to identify worn and faulty components in line with DVSA Standards
  • Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle and machinery classes
  • Flexible on location (Birmingham, South Wales, London) and working hours
  • DBS check required prior to joining
