Location: Crawley
Salary: £60,637 per annum (£29.90 per hour)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 15:30

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated MOT Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operation of MOT lanes within a busy PSV depot environment. This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for ensuring vehicle inspections, maintenance standards, and workshop operations are completed efficiently and safely.

You will lead a team of 4–5 engineers while supporting workshop productivity and maintaining high compliance standards across the fleet.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily MOT lane operations within a busy depot
Lead, support, and manage a team of 4–5 engineers
Ensure MOT inspections and related workshop activities are completed to required standards
Maintain compliance with DVSA regulations and health & safety procedures
Support fault diagnosis and rectification on heavy vehicles where required
Monitor workshop efficiency, productivity, and vehicle downtime
Provide guidance, technical support, and mentoring to engineering staff
Ensure accurate completion of inspection and maintenance documentation

Requirements

Previous experience working on MOT lanes is essential
Supervisory or team leadership experience within a workshop environment
Strong background working on heavy vehicles / PSV / HGVs
Good understanding of workshop compliance and safety standards
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced operational environment
