Job Title: Trailer Technician
Salary: £42,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (42.5 hours per week)

About the Opportunity:
An established commercial vehicle engineering business is seeking a skilled Trailer Maintenance Engineer to join its busy workshop operation in the Haydock area. Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, the company is looking to strengthen its team with an experienced technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

The Role:
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on a variety of commercial trailers
- Identify faults and carry out corrective work efficiently and accurately
- Undertake preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime
- Ensure trailers meet legal compliance and safety standards
- Assist with inspection processes and prepare equipment for statutory testing
- Complete job records and maintenance reports using digital systems
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet workshop targets and deadlines
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience maintaining and repairing commercial trailers
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding abilities
- Understanding of workshop procedures and vehicle safety standards
- Relevant engineering qualifications are advantageous but not essential for experienced candidates
- Ability to manage workloads independently and prioritise tasks effectively
- A proactive and professional approach to work
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
