Location: South East England
Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 per annum + Benefits + Company Vehicle/Car Allowance
Are you an experienced operations leader with a proven track record in the plant hire, construction, or equipment rental industry?
We are recruiting for a Regional Operations Manager to oversee a network of depots across the South East, driving operational performance, safety, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to make a significant impact within a growing and successful business.
The Role
As Regional Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for the performance of multiple depots across the region, ensuring operational excellence and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and developing Depot Managers and their teams
- Driving operational efficiency and ensuring best practices are implemented across all locations
- Monitoring and improving key performance indicators, productivity, utilisation, and profitability
- Ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Optimising fleet utilisation, logistics, and resource planning throughout the region
- Managing regional budgets and controlling operational expenditure
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and business growth
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders
- Supporting strategic business objectives and contributing to long-term operational success
About You
The successful candidate will possess:
- Significant experience in a multi-site operational leadership role within plant hire, tool hire, powered access, construction, equipment rental, or a related industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire high-performing teams
- A proven track record of improving operational performance and delivering business results
- Excellent commercial awareness and a strong understanding of depot operations
- Outstanding communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
- The flexibility to travel regularly across the South East region
