Description

Job Title: Mobile Forklift Engineer
Salary: £34,000 – £37,000 (plus annual bonus)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4:30pm
Area: Edinburgh, Glasgow and surrounding areas

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing servicing, maintenance and repair work on a broad range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
  • Attending breakdowns and carrying out reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Managing your own workload and organising your daily schedule effectively
  • Completing service reports, job sheets and compliance documentation accurately
  • Liaising with the parts department to source and fit the correct components

 
What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Engineer, Agricultural Engineer or similar
  • Candidates from a vehicle technician background may be considered
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and fault finding
  • Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Professional and customer-focused approach
  • Experience with electrics and hydraulics
  • LOLER knowledge (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence

 
Package & Benefits:

  • Basic Salary: £34,000 – £37,000 (depending on experience)
  • Overtime: Paid at 1.5x (availability dependant on depot demand)
  • Company performance-related bonus (historically around £750 annually)
  • Company Van, fuel card and door-to-door travel paid
  • Pension Scheme
  • Generous allowance plus bank holidays

Celi and Jamie have both been absolutely incredible to deal with. I applied via indeed and Celi sent me a text message asking when would be good to catch up. We had a catch up the next morning where we discussed the role and experiences.. my CV was sent to the client and an interview was organised by Jamie.
Jamie sent all the information over and then celi Called me in the morning to catch up and wish me luck for the interview..

I had the interview, it was alright.. however I felt that it wasn’t for me however Celi was great in discussing the situation and in no way was this bad on kemps side of things these things just don’t always work out!
