Location: Leeds 
Salary: Up to £46,000 basic + Annual Bonus
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours

The Role

We are seeking a highly organized Service Controller to take ownership of the end-to-end repair process and engineer scheduling. You will act as the vital link between our customers and our engineering team, managing capacity planning, workflow logistics, and service metrics to maximise workshop efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full repair lifecycle—from initial customer inquiry and quoting (up to £3,000) through to job closure and accurate invoicing.
• Schedule and allocate work for a team of 4–8 engineers, utilizing capacity planning to match the right skills to the right jobs.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them proactively updated on repair progress to build long-term loyalty.
• Provide daily operational guidance, technical scheduling support, and mentoring to the engineering team to maximize productivity.
• Monitor key service data and customer feedback to drive continuous improvements and maximize service profitability.
• Ensure all service processes strictly adhere to company policies and health and safety standards.

What We Need:

• Proven experience in service coordination, scheduling, or control within a plant, commercial vehicle, or mechanical dealership.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and busy engineer diaries.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused, proactive approach.
• Comfortable using data, service metrics, and systems to track workflow.
