Salary: £40,000 – £45,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday

About the Role
As a Senior Transport Planner, you will play a key role in the coordination and optimisation of the company’s fleet, ensuring plant and equipment is delivered safely, efficiently, and on time to various construction sites. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and scheduling daily vehicle movements across multiple sites
• Coordinating with drivers, site teams, and management to ensure smooth operations
• Ensuring all routes are planned with maximum efficiency, compliance, and safety in mind
• Preparing and issuing the correct paperwork and instructions for drivers
• Supporting transport compliance with all UK transport legislation
• Assisting with the investigation and resolution of service issues or delays
• Providing guidance and support to junior team members as required

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a Transport Planner or Senior Transport Planner role, ideally within plant hire, construction, or logistics
• Excellent route planning and coordination skills, with strong attention to detail
• Strong organisational and communication abilities
• A proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems under pressure
• A valid CPC qualification would be a strong advantage
