Overview
We’re looking for a Quality & Compliance Technician to join an award-winning bodybuilding specialist in Trafford Park. This is a proper technical compliance role – you’ll be maintaining Type Approvals, managing the QMS, conducting internal audits, and ensuring the business stays fully compliant with ISO standards and industry regulations. Our client is an ISO-accredited employer with high staff retention and a reputation for quality work. If you’ve got experience in type approval, homologation, or regulatory compliance, this is the one.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining Type Approvals and vehicle compliance information
- Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) – ensuring documentation is accurate, current, and compliant
- Conducting internal audits, identifying non-conformities, and supporting corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Monitoring quality metrics and preparing regular reports for leadership
- Creating COCs and vehicle enhancement documents
- Ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO standards, GDPR, industry-specific regulations)
- Supporting external audits and inspections – coordinating responses and follow-up actions
- Reviewing and updating policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes
- Assisting in risk assessments and mitigation planning across operational processes
- Delivering or coordinating compliance and quality training for staff
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory awareness
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes while maintaining compliance
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvements
What You’ll Need
- Experience in type approval, homologation, regulatory compliance, or product certification (essential)
- Experience in a quality, compliance, or regulatory role – industry-specific experience preferred
- Strong understanding of QMS frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001) and compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills – ability to influence and guide colleagues
- Proficiency in documentation management and audit processes
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
- Certification in quality or compliance (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor, CQI/IRCA) – preferred
- Experience with CAPA systems, risk management tools, or regulatory reporting – preferred
- You’ll be a great fit if you’re methodical, detail-focused, and want a stable role with a nationally recognised, high-retention employer that invests in its people.
Think you might be a good fit?
If you’ve got compliance or quality experience and you’re ready to take ownership of type approvals and QMS, there’s progression opportunities, training, and a team that’s been around for years because it’s a decent place to work.
Sound like you?
