We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Generator Service Engineer to join our team.

You’ll be responsible for servicing, fault-finding, repairing and commissioning generators and associated electrical equipment, both in the workshop and on customer sites.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair generators (portable to containerised).
Carry out load testing and commissioning (20–2000 kVA).
Strip, rewire and modify electrical control panels.
Inspect and repair HV transformers and high-voltage cable installations.
Maintain and repair AC load banks and generator control systems.
Complete service reports and maintain high safety standards.

About You

Time-served Electrical Engineer or qualified to SVQ Level 3/SCQF Level 7 (or equivalent).
Strong electrical knowledge of AC/DC, single and three-phase systems.
Experience with control panel rewiring and electrical fault finding.
Previous experience working on generators, plant or heavy equipment.
Knowledge of HV systems, load banks or engine ECMs is desirable.
Full UK driving licence.
