Horticultural Warehouse Operative

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established business where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of their Groundcare warehouse, supporting stock management, machinery distribution, and customer service across our branch network.

The Role

Working closely with the Groundcare Sales Office Manager, you’ll be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of machinery, parts, and equipment. You’ll help maintain accurate stock records, support inventory management, and ensure products are distributed effectively across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and processing incoming deliveries from suppliers.
• Unpacking and accurately booking in stock and equipment.
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Moving stock between warehouse, showroom, and goods-in areas.
• Assisting with stock checks and inventory control activities.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and data entry.
• Supporting the day-to-day organisation and housekeeping of the warehouse.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Requirements

• Previous warehouse, stores, or stock control experience would be advantageous.
• Good IT skills, including email and internet use.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling stock information.
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and the ability to use initiative.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Physically fit and capable of safely lifting items up to 25kg.
• Forklift Truck Licence.
